How far in advance should I book?
At least 2 weeks is ideal, but I’ve pulled this off in 72 hours. The sooner you reach out, the more time we have to personalize every detail — the cover story, the music, the photo selection.
Where exactly is the studio?
Estúdio 266 is on Rua Rei Ramiro, in Vila Nova de Gaia — a 5-minute walk from the Douro riverbank and the Dom Luís I Bridge. It’s a real, working photography studio, which makes the “art exhibition” cover story completely believable.
What if my partner asks questions on the way there?
I’ll help you prepare for that. When you book, we’ll go over the cover story together and I’ll give you specific answers for the most common questions (“Who is the photographer?”, “How did you find this?”, “Is it free?”). By the time you arrive, the story will feel completely natural.
Can I bring my own ring, wine, flowers, or decorations?
Absolutely. Sparkling wine is included, but if you have a specific bottle that means something to you, bring it. Same with flowers or any personal item you’d like in the space. We’ll set everything up before you arrive.
What if she says no? (Just kidding. But seriously, what if we’re too emotional to do the photoshoot after?)
That’s actually perfect. The 30 minutes of private time in the studio is designed to let you both process the moment, celebrate, and calm down before stepping outside. By the time we start the engagement session along the Douro, the adrenaline becomes the most genuine, photogenic energy you’ll ever have.
Do you do same-sex proposals?
Of course. Love is love, and this experience is designed for any couple. Every detail is personalized to your story.
How do I pay?
A 50% deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the experience. I accept bank transfer, MB WAY, and card payments.
When will I receive the photos and video?
You’ll receive a curated selection of preview images within 48 hours — perfect for the “she said yes” announcement. The full gallery and highlight film are delivered within 2 weeks through a private online gallery.

My name is Filipe Santos. I’ve been a documentary photographer for over 15 years, working in war zones, foreign countries, and hundreds of weddings across Europe. My work has been recognized by Fearless Photographers, ISPWP, and WPJA — some of the most selective photography associations in the world.
I created this experience because I’ve seen too many proposal moments happen in the wrong setting — beautiful locations with terrible conditions for the actual human moment. Crowded. Cold. Rushed. Public.
